Hello beautiful people over the internet, so glad it is Thursday because I have so much to rant about my skin since it’s beauty Thursday.

I had my time of the month last week, and a week before that my skin started freaking out & of course, it broke out. I think it was due to my not so healthy diet, lack of hydration as well as I ran out of my regular supplement. I have combination skin (oily on the T zone & normal on the cheeks), but for the past week my skin has been flaky all over. I do not know what happened, most probably due to the weather changed as it is super cold here in Moscow right now.

Anyway, this week I’ve started a brand new skincare routine, hopefully it works out just fine. I am giving my skin a few weeks to get used to this routine & update you guys when I see some results. 😀

So back to this review, I’ve been using this Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil for about 3 months now & I think I am ready to give a full review & my thoughts.

As you can see, it comes in a beautiful dark blue plastic bottle, and I really appreciate it comes with a pump which makes it easier to estimate how much product you need per wash. I am a sucker when it comes to beautiful packaging like this. Not to forget, it has 175 ml of product inside.

The reason why I’ve decided to purchase this cleansing oil was because I was looking for a cleansing oil for my evening double cleanse routine. Unfortunately most cleansing oil out there clogs my pores and it is so hard to find a product which I love. I’ve been using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate for a few months & absolutely love the result, hence I’ve decided to try their cleansing oil of the same line. 🙂 I also did a review on their Midnight Recovery Concentrate, click here to check it out.

Ps: I am not sponsored by Kiehl’s even though I wished I am. 😛 Genuinely love their products. 😀

The cleansing oil is transparent in colour & does not feel heavy on the skin at all. I normally take about 1.5 pump & gently massage onto my dry skin. I also tried using this cleansing oil to remove my makeup without the help of micellar water prior to this. I was really impressed because this product washed off all my makeup effortlessly. No scrubbing/tugging of skin.

This cleansing oil has a beautiful lavender scent, just like their Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I normally massage the product onto my skin for about 30 seconds, then add a little water & slowly emulsify the product. Then this oil will turned into a milky consistency. Instead of washing it off with water I usually use a dry cotton pad & wipe off the excess. I then follow up with my second cleanse & the rest of my evening skincare routine.

Ingredients:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Zea Mays Germ Oil/Corn Germ Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-10 Dioleate, Polyglyceryl-6 Dicaprate, Oenothera Biennis Oil/Evening Primrose Oil, Polyglyceryl-2 Oleate, Squalane, Coriandrum Sativum Seed Oil/Coriander Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil/Lavender Oil, Isopropyl Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Dicaprylyl Carbomate, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil/Rosemary Leaf Oil, Linalool, Tocopherol, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Glycine Soja Oil/Soybean Oil, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate

I absolutely love this product and I am glad I’ve purchased it. I am still dealing with clogged pores and breakouts, I am not sure if this product contributes to my problems but I am switching up my routine and diet around and see how it goes. *fingers crossed.

This product retails 2850 rubles in Russia. I highly recommend this beautiful cleansing oil if you are looking for something to remove your makeup/dirt on your face at the end of the day. I think this product did its job wonderfully & I will definitely repurchased it again. As I’ve mentioned I’ve been using this product religiously for 3 months every night but I am still not half way through the bottle. You definitely do not need a lot of product per wash, hence it is value for money even though Kiehl’s products are slightly pricey but they definitely deliver results. 😀

As always, I hope this review is useful to somebody out there. I personally enjoy reading reviews on blogs before purchasing a product. Have a wonderful day you guys! <3
