My boyfriend surprised me with a flight ticket to Budapest as a birthday present last month. 😀 & knowing that I’ve been travelling for quite a bit I have a few travel essentials I would like to share with you guys.
It’s fun to explore around places you’ve never been to & experience their culture & everything. But sometimes it might be a little overwhelming/stressful/scary. So I always like to bring products that reminds me of home. At least I know that they will not fail me & it is kind of like a safety net for me if it makes sense. & especially because I am very particular/sensitive to scents, so using products I am familiar with comforts me alot.
So without any further ado let’s get started! 😀
Let’s start with this transparent bag. I store all my shower products & skincare inside here. As you can see the two travel size bottles are from The Body Shop but I’ve already finished them long ago. I refilled them with the current shampoo I am using & for shower gel I brought my L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil.
I store my cleansing gel in a contact lens case because I do not have a travel size of it plus it save a lot of space. I am currently using Exuviance Clarifying Facial Cleanser. The small little transparent container below it is my makeup remover by Banila & Co. It’s their Purity Zero Oil Cleansing Balm. Absolutely adore this product but unfortunately I am running really low on it. 🙁
The most bottom container is actually Kiehl’s Avocado Creamy Eye Treatment but I store my Dermaviduals’ Cleansing Milk in it instead. I definitely highly recommend to keep small containers around because it is so much easier to travel with by replacing other products in it.
& lastly in the bag it’s my travel size Exuviance Moisture Balance Toner.
Tip: I store my cleansers & toner in the same bag as my shower products so that I only need to bring a bag into the bathroom which makes things a lot easier. 🙂
In this huge pink bag I store my treatments/moisturizers. Honestly I don’t need that huge of a bag but I don’t have any smaller ones to go with so yeah. 🙁
I brought wet tissues with me because it’s always handy to have them with you while travelling. & cotton pads for cleansing/toner. Of course I cannot forget two of my must haves treatments: Mad Hippie’s Exfoliating Serum & Skinoren.
I brought along two moisturizers with me. During the day time I will use the Dermaviduals’ Classic Base Cream & in the evening I will use the Exuviance’s Night Renewal Hydragel.
Note: all products are under 100 ml so it’s travel friendly. 🙂
Now onto my favorite part of packing: MAKEUP! 😀
The hardest part when it comes to packing makeup is lipsticks. 🙁 I have quite a variety of lipsticks & it took me quite sometime to decide which are the ones I want to bring along with me. (might change my mind during my final packing) 😛
For base I brought my trustworthy Maybelline Better Skin Concealer & Benefit Fake Up Concealer for my under eye. To set them in place I brought the Tarte’s Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder.
For the eyes I decided to go for a simple eye makeup because honestly I don’t think I have the time when I am travelling. Brought my trustworthy Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base with Maybelline 24 Hrs Colour Tattoo in the shade “On & On Bronze”. Finishing the eyes with Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner & Maybelline’s mascara. 🙂
I also brought my Colourpop’s highlighter in the shade “Lunch Money” & Lancome’s cushion blush just in case I feel fancy. 😛
& here comes the hardest part, lipsticks. 🙁 For now I went with Mac’s Ruby Woo, Gosh’s Matte Lipstick in the shade “Antique” & Nyx’s Matte Lipstick “Crazed”. I brought a variety of natural to bold colours so I have options to choose with.
& there you go! These are my travel essentials & pretty much what I will bring with me whenever I travel. My last trip was to St Petersburg few months back & I brought roughly the same products as well.
Hope you guys found this post helpful & I cannot wait to explore around Budapest. 😀
