Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum Review.

Categories Beauty, Review, Skincare

I’ve been testing out this Mad Hippie’s Vitamin A Serum for over a month now & I think I am ready to give my review/thoughts on it. So without any further ado I’ll just jump right into it! 😀

This Vitamin A Serum is basically a serum to help exfoliate, improve appearance of sun damage, as well as aging skin. I can’t speak for sun damage & aging skin because these are currently not my concern. But prevention is better than starting late right? 😛

This serum comes in a 30 ml dark glass bottle. As you can see the dropper is quite long so you don’t have to worry about not being able to finish the last drop of the product.

It is white in colour & it glides on smoothly onto the skin. I would best describe it as a silky feeling. It doesn’t take long to fully absorb into the skin as well. Unlike their exfoliating serum, this serum actually fully absorbed into my skin & does not leave a sticky feeling to it.

It has a very citrusy floral scent to it which quickly disappeared after application.

The consistency of this serum is just right. Not too thick, not too runny. It is super easy to work with. 🙂

I evenly spread it all over my hand & wait for it to dry.

As you can see the product was fully absorbed. It does not leave any sticky/shiny residue. This product felt very light weight on the skin & it dries off as a matte finish which what I really like about.

Deionized Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Glycerin, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Vitamin A (HPR:Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate), Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera Oil), Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Citric Acid, Steam Distilled Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Fruit Extract, Oat Beta-Glucan, Phytoceramide (Soybean Palmitate), Acetyl Glucosamine

What do I think?

When I first started using this serum my face tingles few minutes after application. I heard it is pretty common effect when using a Vitamin A serum. It says to use every other night until your skin is adjusted to the product then you can use it every night.

During my first week I use this product every other night. I felt the tingling effect throughout my first week & after that my skin got adjusted to it. I definitely noticed dryness around areas of my hyperpigmentations/acne. I think because this is an exfoliating serum hence it dries out my problematic area. But it didn’t look bad when I apply my makeup, thankfully. 🙂

I always wake up to soft and soothing skin in the morning whenever I apply this serum the night before. After about a month of using this product I definitely notice a huge improvement in my hyperpigmentations. This serum definitely lighten them a lot! 😀

Note: I apply this product & wait for 10 minutes. After that I then follow up with other products & moisturizer. 🙂

This serum retails for 1603 rubles. For an organic product like this I think it is well worth the price. If you know me I rave about Mad Hippie a lot. My first product was their exfoliating serum & I absolutely adore it! I cannot wait to get my hands on their Vitamin C Serum! 😀

I highly recommend this product/check out this company. So far I’ve been getting positive results with their skincare line. My hyperpigmentations are definitely something that makes me super insecure. Unfortunately they takes time to go away & honestly I cannot wait for them to disappear. 😛
