If you know me well you definitely know masks are part of my favorite thing to do in my skincare routine. Always find it super relaxing & pampering especially after a long day.
Today I am here to review this L’Oreal Detox & Brighten Clay Mask. I’ve read a lot of good reviews on this product & honestly I have quite high expectation on it. They also have two other masks. One is the green mud mask & the other is the red algae mud mask.
What does this mask do?
This mask is for people who have dull and tired skin. If you have oily/combination skin with blemish problems like acne, blackheads or whiteheads you can benefit from this product too! 🙂
How to use?
Apply an even layer to clean dry skin, avoiding eye & lip areas. Leave on for 10-15 minutes then remove with water. For best result use 3 times a week.
As you can see this mask comes in a sturdy glass packaging that contains 50 ml of product inside.
It looks just like any charcoal masks out there. It has a scent to it which reminds me of the korean makeup products I used to use. The scent is not very strong but it definitely lingers.
The consistency of the mask is smooth and gel-like. It is very easy to work with but you have to work fast because it dries off pretty quickly.
Upon finishing my whole face some areas already dried off as you can see. I can feel slight tightness just like any clay masks out there. It says to leave it on for 10-15 minutes but currently I am dealing with some blemishes so I left it on for 30 minutes.
My problem areas are definitely my T zone & the sides of my nose. These areas are areas which I have the most enlarged pores. Hence in the picture you can see the mask is sucking out all the gunk/oil & clean out my pores.
A closer view to show you how it looks like. Sorry if you are gross out by this. 😛 I want to make this review as honest as possible. 🙂
When I examine my skin in the mirror before washing off I noticed this mask helped to pull out whiteheads as well. I can literally see my whiteheads being sucked out by the mask!
& after washing off my skin definitely felt a lot smoother & my pores were super clean. This is definitely a heavy duty mask! 😀 The next day I notice a little breakout on my forehead but I wouldn’t worry too much because I think this mask is helping me to bring out the dirt/toxins underneath my pores.

Note: I’ve read that the first 3 ingredients of this mask is same as the mask from Glamglow. Unfortunately I do not own the mask from Glamglow so I cannot compare the both of them. 🙁
This mask retails for 599 rubles. Will I recommend this product? Definitely a yes! Price point wise is super affordable. & I will definitely recommend anyone to check out this mask. I’ve tried the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask & I definitely think this works better.
I hope you find my review helpful & have a great day! 😀
