Get Ready With Me: Evening Edition.

Categories Fashion

Hello everyone! Hope you guys had a great week so far. Yesterday I went for a ballet performance – Giselle at Novaya Opera Theatre and thought it’ll be great to do a get ready with me makeup plus outfit post. So let’s get into it. 🙂

L’oreal nude magique foundation: it’s a liquid foundation that after you blend it into your skin it will turn powdery. Great for combination to oily skin. I would say this foundation gives a light to medium coverage.

Maybelline better skin concealer: repurchased once and I love it. I did not notice any creasing/settling into fine lines with this concealer. And it covers spots and hyperpigmentation pretty well. Overall a good drugstore concealer.

Benefit Fake Up concealer: my sister got this for me as a present. Initially I did not like this concealer at all because I have combination skin and this concealer is too hydrating for me especially during the summer months. Fortunately it’s perfect for me now since it’s winter and my skin is less oily. Highly recommend if you have dry under eye. If you’re looking for a full coverage under eye concealer then this is not for you. I would say it’s more to light coverage.

The Face Shop designing eyebrow pencil: this brow pencil has duo end which I love. Plus it’s super affordable. The only down side is if you are looking for a fine tip eyebrow pencil like ABH/NYX then this is not the one. But I appreciate it comes in a slanted angle which makes drawing my brow so much easier. And the built in spoolie is soft and not too harsh on your brows like other brands.

Nars smudge proof eyeshadow base: hands down the best eyeshadow primer I’ve tried. I prefer this over the Urban Decay’s primer potion. If you have oily eyelids like I do, highly recommend you guys to check this out. Makes my eyeshadows and eyeliner stay in place all day. With this I do not have to worry about smudging. 🙂

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hours: decided to go for a simple eye makeup and nothing too complicated. I use the shade “On and on bronze” all over my eyelid.

Colourpop Seeker: it comes with the eyeshadow set “zingara”. It’s a dark brown colour which I use at the outer V of my eye. It gives more depth to my eye.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof eyeliner: the only eyeliner that I love and trust. Gives me the perfect wing eye look and I never had problem with smudging.

Maybelline lash sensational: lastly for the eye I topped it off with some mascara after curling my lashes. I’ve been finding for the best mascara and by far this is the best find! Gives my straight and boring lashes volume and length. There’s nothing more I can ask for. Plus no smudging issues like the one I have with Too Faced better than sex mascara. It’s every reason why I shouldn’t splurge on high end mascara. Meanwhile Maybelline is the reason why I freaking love drugstore mascara! 😀

Let’s move on to the cheeks shall we? 😀

Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil: my sister got this as a gift for me and it is in the shade “Splash Orange”. Initially I thought I couldn’t pull off this shade because Benefit’s chacha tint looks weird on me. Surprisingly I fell in love as it gives me a natural orange-y blush. Even though this will look better during the warmer months but who cares? That’s the best coral shade I can ever pull off.

Lush Charisma: I got this cream as a bronzer because I found out almost all the powder bronzers out there breaks me out due to the ingredient “talc”. I really want to love them so badly but I think it’s one of the reasons why I breakout. 🙁 But overall this cream works fairly well, warm up my complexion and it looks very natural.

Colourpop: Last month Colourpop had a promotion where you purchase a certain amount they will include free highlighters. I chose the shade “Lunch Money”. By far my favorite highlighter. To be honest with you I use it all day errday since I got it. It gives a natural glow which I’m absolutely obsessed.

Last but not least, and also my favorite part! THE LIPS!

Of course I have to go with Mac’s Ruby Woo. The perfect shade this festive month and also for an evening look.

I apologize for the picture quality and lighting. But that is the finishing look but still in my peejays.

A ootd at the theatre. My top is from Uniqlo. I’ve been obsessed with mandarin collar shirts. Jegging is from Uniqlo as well. I guess most of my wardrobe is from Uniqlo. 😛 Brown boots from caterpillar and handbag from Aldo.

I hope this post gave you some tips/ideas/inspiration for an evening look. Have a nice day! 😀
